Frederick County Commuters

Frederick County, Maryland is one of the fastest growing counties in the State of Maryland. Its prime location makes it easy for those who work in the city to reside outside of the busy city limits. This trend is illustrated by a recent survey that revealed Frederick has more than 117,000 commuters. Those commuters travel 25 minutes or more to places like Montgomery, Baltimore and Howard County as well Fairfax and Loudoun County in Virginia. Some commuters travel hours to work on a daily basis. The number of commuters is a primary factor in the recent highway expansions in Frederick.

Along with the increase of traffic also comes the increased potential of car accidents. It is always important to be alert when traveling in an area that is under construction. Be aware of new traffic signals as well as detours. Failure to pay attention is one of the most common causes of traffic accidents.

Additionally, in some construction areas in Frederick, the County has placed speed cameras. Be aware that these cameras are there in these construction zones! If they flash, you were speeding and will be getting a ticket sent to your home. There is little a Maryland criminal attorney can do for you in defense of these tickets.

If you, a family member, or someone you know has been involved in a motor vehicle accident or if you would like more information on car accidents, DWI/ DUI or criminal defense, please feel free to contact our Maryland accident lawyers for a free legal consultation.
